We collect nothing

SpectaBooks has no account to create, no analytics, and no server of ours for your data to reach. We do not know what you read, when you read it, or that you use the app at all.

Your books stay where they are

The app reads files from the folders you point it at — on the device, in iCloud Drive, or in Google Drive. It reads them in place. It does not upload them, copy them to us, or index them anywhere but on your own device.

Reading positions travel through your iCloud

So that a book opens where you left it on another device, your reading position and bookmarks are stored in YOUR private iCloud container. Apple holds them under your Apple Account; we cannot see them. Turn off iCloud for SpectaBooks and this stops entirely — the app keeps working, on that device alone.

Google Drive, if you connect it

Connecting Google Drive grants read-only access to the folder you choose, using Google's own sign-in. The token is kept on your device. We never see your Drive, and nothing is copied off it except the book you open, onto the device you opened it on.

Children

The app collects nothing from anyone, of any age.
